Confirmed and Graduated on May 17, 1936

Member of Christ Lutheran Church, Juniata, NE for 64 years.
Graduated from Kenesaw High School, Kenesaw, NE - May 1940
Worked on a Dairy and Livestock Farm East of Grand Island for 2 years.

Drafted into US Army  April 14, 1944
Trained in Camp Hood Texas.  Went over seas in November 1944
One month in South Hampton England.  Crossed English Channel on December 24, 1944 to Cherbourg, France.  Served with 66th Division Black Panthers in an Anti-Tank Co.   262 Regiment.
Was in combat from December 24, 1944 to V-E Day.
Transferred to Quartermaster Truck Co.
Out of Service – Honorable Discharge on June 6, 1946
Was Awarded the Bronze Star Medal, the Combat Infantry Badge Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the European Theatre Ribbon and the Victory Ribbon.

On November 23, 1947, married Wilma R. Dankert of Palmer, NE.

Farmed in rural Adams County for 40 years before moving to Hastings on July 4, 1986.
Joined Faith Lutheran Church, Hastings, NE in 1987
