Christmas 2004
|
‘Twas
the month before Christmas
and all of us here
Started thinking what to write
in our Christmas letter this year.
Our
family has changed -
all in character; most in height.
We’re so proud of them all,
we must share our delight! |

|
Zachary
it two now
and shows it quite well.
If things don’t happen his way,
you’ll likely hear him yell.
He
likes new adventures,
climbing everything he can.
Which results in extra doctor visits.
For broken bones we must scan!
He
watches Daddy carefully,
imitating his every move.
Whether computing, hammering, or digging -
his competency he will prove. |

|
Six-year
old Josh
is in 1st grade this year.
Learning math, science, & phonics
and reading very clear!
Though
learning is easy,
he’d much rather be
Racing his cars or drumming.
His favorite class is P.E.
Josh
and Dad carve wooden racecars,
the Royal Rangers Pinewood Derby to compete in.
And they enjoy the Rangers campouts,
playing laser tag in the church gym. |

Kayla
is in 5th grade
and ten years old – wow!
Hanging out with friends, doing sleepovers,
fixing hair and nails are in now!
She
still quizzes the Bible
and helps with children’s ministry.
She leads a girl’s Bible club
and performs on the Kids Quest team.
In
school she likes history,
and playing the piano is neat
She enjoys making crafts
and playing with her bunny is a treat. |

|
Thirteen-year
old Jaci
is now officially a teen.
Which means she’s reached the age -
with pierced ears she is now seen!
Piano
lessons, reading, sewing,
even secret-agenting is big - and
This year Jaci is playing her flute
in Faith Christian School’s band.
She
performs with the youth Drama Team,
teaches pre-school Sunday School,
Sings on one of the church’s worship teams,
and helps keep our schedules full! |

So
Ed with his computer gear,
and Barb with teacher’s
books,
Try to keep up with them all -
often times with tired looks!
Ed
leads a team of computer geeks (or techs) –
our church is wired, on-site & on line.
Barb still plays keyboard on a worship team
and tries to keep the church nursery in line.
This
year we tried something different
and, so far, to much avail.
We’re still leading a weekly Bible study –
now it’s at our home in Riverdale! |

|
Though
this season is full
of festivities and lights,
We hope you’ll remember
to focus your sights
On
what’s truly important –
not happenings and things,
But God’s precious gift of Jesus
and the love that He brings.
Our
prayer for you, our friends and family,
as we enter a new year -
May God’s love touch your hearts and lives,
and may He bless you with loved ones dear! |
